Lloyd Business School successfully organized its Finance Conclave 1.0, themed “Artificial Intelligence: Shaping the future of Finance” on May 29th, 2021. The institute welcomed the esteemed panelist Mr. Gaurav Arora, Dr. Meenu Sharma, Dr. Gaurav Aggarwal, Mr. Sunil Aggarwal, Mr. Ankit Singh and Mr. Varinder Kumar Sharma. The event commenced with the welcome address by Dr. Vandana Arora Sethi, Group Director, Lloyd Group of Institutions. Dr Vandana introduced the respected dignitaries and presented appreciation to them for marking their presence at the event. She also elaborated on the theme of the event stressing on the importance of technology during the pandemic. She also apprised the audience about the successes of Lloyd Business School. The esteemed panelist started the discussion on relevance of Fintech in the modern era of Finance. Firstly, Gaurav Arora talked about the relevance of Fintech technology post or during covid in the banking industry. He also pointed out that the Fintech is man-made and we need to scale up for adapting this technology. Also, the esteemed panelist also discussed about the challenges that the Fintech will possess in the coming future. Moreover, the panelist also stated that the AI will not replace the technology it will create more jobs in the respective sectors. However, we need to upgrade ourselves to remain competitive and handle the operations of AI. The panelist also talked about the changing scenario of banking due to COVID-19 and the introduction technologies such digital payment systems, blockchain and many more. Previously, our parents use to spare a day for completing the bank related tasks but nowadays, all things can be done with just simple click. In the end, the esteemed panelist said that the fintech is the future of any industry not banking but the technology needs to be harnessed. In the question and answer session, our esteemed panelist answered the questions of curious students who want to pursue their career in banking and finance and how AI or fintech can prove to be boon in the years to come. In total more than 300 plus participants participated in the event from 150 plus colleges or institutions which includes FMS Delhi, Delhi University etc. A lot of academicians, researchers and industry personnel attended this event to clarify their doubts on the usage of AI or Fintech in Finance.
Dr. Bhupender Kumar Som, Director delivered the vote of thanks to all the esteemed panelists and the students from various academic institutions. Dr. Som thanked all the panelists and students who spared their valuable time for this wonderful and informative session.
